Coming to Barcelona I was excited about the amazing summer I had ahead of me. I had previously heard many stories about the city, lifestyle and people but had no idea how much fun I was going to have. Emerging myself into the city I was shocked by how beautiful it was. From the beaches, to the sunny weather, to design of the streets my first reaction was how amazing this place really was and how lucky I am to be here for two months.
The first day we went to see the Sagrata familia which was jaw dropping. It honestly looked fake cause I had never seen anything like it. The detail in the architecture was surreal. It was a great first look at Barcelona. A few days later a bunch of students in my program went to the beach after work. It was the perfect summer day but it took awhile to getting use to the fact that Barcelona has nude beaches. We all got a good laugh and had some hilarious moments I will remember forever.
Last weekend we went to Ibiza which was by far one of my favorite moments in my life so far. The beaches had clear ice blue water with beautiful people everywhere; it was like a movie. We all felt like we were in a postcard and made sure to take every second in. At night we got to experience Spain night life at it’s best. We went to privilege, which is the largest club in the world. I had the most unreal moment I have had in my 21 years of living when I walked through the doors and saw what was ahead of me. There was a full on circus, swimming pool which the DJ was floating in the middle, trampolines and 5,000 people. The music was amazing. We honestly got to see some of the best Spain has to offer.
