I have never been to Europe before and when I first got here, I realized I was definitely missing out on an amazing part of the world. There is just so much history, art, culture, and life buzzing all around this wonderful city that I get to live in for the summer. When I first got here I was really jet lagged from traveling, but after sleeping for a day I was ready to explore. We are living in one of the nicest parts of London (South Kensington) and I couldn’t have been happier with our flat. I’m living with eleven other kids in our Eller group in loft 18 and the other half of our group in right across the hall in 17. It has been fun to all live together and share a kitchen, common room and bathrooms. We have been taking the tube all around and I’m starting to learn the system. At first we were those lost Americans who didn’t know what line to get on, or what station to get off at, and we are definitely are the loudest ones on the tube and we know it because everyone is staring at us. We have been to Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Street to do some shopping, the Kensington Place on one of our tours, Leicester Square to see the play “ Blood Brothers,” the Jubilee market, the Borough Market, and the Portobello Market, and the Shakespeare Globe Theater. I have really enjoyed going to all of these places. There is just so much to do and see I cant wait for our next adventure or city to explore.
