I am so sad that this was my last week interning for Johan Cruyff Institute. The experience I have had in the last 2 months and the connections I have made will be valuable for many years to come.
I cannot believe that the end of the program is in one week. It is hard to believe that I have been in Barcelona for 2 months. The last month I have gotten to travel and experience other cultures and have learned so much. I went to Budapest a couple of weeks ago and was completely culture shocked. It was easy for me to come to Spain since I am familiar with the language and could easily pick up on conversations but when I was in Budapest it was impossible for me to understand one word. It really opened my eyes to how others must feel not speaking English and really pushed me out of my comfort zone. Budapest was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, and the food and people were amazing.
I have also been doing a lot of sight seeing in Spain. I got to go inside a Gaudi house ( the mila family one- Pradera) and I saw Sagrada Familia. I am taking my last week to enjoy everything Spain has to offer before I am back in the United States.
Although the program is coming to an end I still have many adventures ahead of me. I will be heading to Rome and the Amalfi Coast today! I also plan to go to Parc Ciutadella next week and cross anything else off my list of places I wanted to go.
My experience has been amazing. I am so thankful and happy I did this program.
