A Day Away From the Office

In China by Eller Student

This whole trip I have been attempting to voyage on a “junk boat” but simply have not come across this opportunity. My friends were trying to set one up but it never developed into anything. I had the opportunity through a friend at to attend a junk boat for free but I was sick and had to sit out. Fortunately, my friend invited me to another junk trip with her coworkers.

I had low expectations for the boat but was surprised when I saw the boat we were taking– It was not some fancy yacht, but just perfect for the occasion. Junk boats can be all you can eat and or all you can drink, but this one was bring your own whatever. Some junk boats take people to islands but ours just parked as at an area that was suppose to have flat water where we could wake board or ride a banana boat. Nonetheless there was plenty to do. We were able to blast music from the boat speakers, perform various jumps off the boat, and of course relax on the deck and soak in the sun. This was my first time on a junk boat and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience.
