Final Countdown

In China by Eller Student

This past weekend, a group of eight of us made the journey to Boracay, Philippines. Upon arriving, we immediately saw the differences between Hong Kong and Boracay. Boracay is a tropical, remote island that is in a third world country compared to the never-sleeping, densely populated city of Hong Kong. It was a great getaway for the weekend and nice to have a break from work. The beaches were perfectly white and the water was clear as could be. Money in the Philippines went a long way because of the outrageous exchange rate to the USD (43/1). We really enjoyed our weekend in Boracay, which was filled with relaxing acitivities like island hopping, cliff jumping and swimming. It is now our final week in Hong Kong and it is time to say my final goodbyes. I still have plenty of things that I would like to do before I leave and little time remaining!
