I can remember in the 4th grade we were learning about Spain. They talked about many different parts but something that has always stuck with me was La Sagrada Familia. Seeing what was then just some pillars constructed fascinated me from a young age. I had been putting this visit to La Sagrada Familia off on my visit because I wanted it to be one of the last major attractions to see, and it did not disappoint.
When I first stepped in and looked at the ceiling my jaw dropped, my breath was taken away, and I was speechless. It stuns me to think how Gaudi came up with the idea to create this Basilica for Barcelona. I love that he uses the animals and shapes from the nature in the Mediterranean. This structure is truly one of a kind and a must see item in Barcelona. Looking forward I can’t but feeling so blessed as I go into my last 2 weeks in Barcelona. It’s time to make the most of time here and appreciate all that I am surrounded in.
