Takin’ a Hike

In China by Eller Student

This past weekend was very busy with lots of traveling and events.  First it started off Saturday morning with a trip planned by our program directors to Lantau Island.  After riding on a bus for about an hour we showed up and got right on to a boat to go see pink dolphins!  Afterwards we went to go see the biggest buddha in the world then enjoyed an all vegetarian meal nearby.

The next day was just as busy as a small group of us decided to hike the famous Dragon’s Back Trail.  After a subway ride, and bus ride we got to the start where we headed up to the top.  There the views were unbeatable as you could see for miles all around.  Afterwards we headed to the nearby beach to relax.  Later that night we headed to LKF street where there was a local beerfest going on.  There we enjoyed live music, different beers from around the world, and the atmosphere of the festival.
