Can’t believe it’s already over…

In Spain by Eller Student

This summer in Barcelona has been the most incredible experience of my life. I’ve been back in the states for less than a week and it already feels like it was a dream.

Things I miss about barcelona:
-the friendships I formed
-speaking Spanish everywhere I go
-not having to tip
-seeing beautiful buildings everywhere I turn
-siestas
-walking around the city
-wok to walk
-la boqueria
-not having phones; it was so refreshing
-the beach
-euros
-the night bus
-la ovella negra

Things I don’t miss:
-the hour commute to work
-no free water
-the service
-pigeons
-smelly streets
-the train ride to the city
-the food….

Since being back, I’ve already eaten as much American food as possible, driven my car like I’d never get to drive again, and taken full advantage of the free water. I miss Barcelona greatly, and I truly believe that this summer has helped shaped who I am as a person immensely. I’ve grown so much as a person this summer, and I’ve learned so much about myself. I am so thankful for this opportunity I was given and I couldn’t imagine spending my summer any other way.
