Expectations for my Summer Abroad in Barcelona

In Spain by Eller Student

Emma Bishop, Pre-Business, ’16

The fact that within a matter of days I will be on my way to Barcelona is making time move very slowly. I desperately want it to be next week so I can begin this new adventure. I’ve already finished packing for Spain in anticipation of leaving. I have never left the United States alone before, so I am expecting a lot of nerves while traveling, but I am hoping that despite the nerves this will be one of the best experiences of my life.

I will be working for a company called N’eventum. I am hoping that working for this company will help me become a more rounded individual in the business world. I believe that it is very important that everyone should be very adaptable with his or her work environment and I’m hoping to see a new culture and new work environment that I get the opportunity to immerse myself in. With my future career goals, I hope to work worldwide and this internship with N’eventum is hopefully my first stepping-stone toward that goal.
