Adjusting to the Barcelona Culture

In Spain by Eller Student

Amy Waterhouse, Marketing ’15

My experience in Barcelona has been absolutely amazing so far. I have not felt too homesick and I am adjusting to the new culture very well. The culture in Barcelona is very laid back. At work, everyone in the office spends a lot of time building relationships and enjoying their days instead of trying to get as much work done as possible. Everyone has been very friendly to me and most people speak English so the language barrier has not been too hard to overcome.

There is so much to do in this city and I have been extremely busy between working and touring in my free time. I love the lively atmosphere and I am looking forward to discovering more of what Barcelona has to offer.
