Becoming adjusted to Spanish Culture

In Spain by Eller Student

Daniella Porreca, Pre-Business

Since coming to Spain I have had to adjust to the culture here. There are many differences in the Spanish culture compared to the American culture. One change that I have become used to is the typical dinner here at 8 o’clock.  I have also have been adjusting to how long it takes to get a meal here. I have sat in a restaurant for up to two hours, just waiting for my meal and the check to arrive. However I am starting to get used to the relaxed culture here.  I have also been adjusting to using the public transportation system. Learning how to get around the city the first week was difficult but now I have learned a lot more about how to use the metro and bus system and its become a breeze. I have also started to get into a new work routine and have loved working at my company so far.  I have been enjoying getting used to my work environment at Incubaeco, everyone here is very friendly and eager to help me learn about the company.
