Expectations of Summer London Internship

In England by Eller Student

Amber McCoy, Business Management

I can’t believe that we are only four days away from being in one of the most amazing places in the entire world. As the days come closer and I am finishing up my packing, I am only growing more and more excited to get there.

I have never been to Europe so I don’t have any expectations up until I get there. The things that I expect to happen are to make lifelong friends within the program, learn about and experience international business and culture, network and build connections and eat and drink well. I have many friends and sorority sisters that have traveled to Europe and London specifically and they have told me stories and given me some advice of where to travel to and what places I must see and go to.

UnknownWhile attending the study abroad meetings, I also learned a little bit about London’s business styles and culture. For instance, Europe has smaller businesses than America and bosses tend to take their employees out for a mid-day drink. I know that I will learn and experience many different things while in London. I also want to travel to other places including Dublin, Ireland and Paris, France and learn more about their culture as well. I think that I am going to get the “European bug” and not want to leave!
